The D series engine is a preferred power source for large tractors and other agricultural equipment. It is an advanced engine with a new design and advanced technology, featuring a high reliability, low fuel consumption and a fast transient response. The engine torque reserve coefficient is greater than 35% with a power range of 180-360PCS, thus meeting China III and IV off-road emission standards.
The D series engine prototype was jointly designed by SDEC and AVL (Austria) based on domestic fuel quality and user habits. In 2005, SDEC carried out a reinforced design and 4-valve upgrade in cooperation with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) of the United States. In accordance with the American heavy-duty diesel engine standards, the D series engine is designed as an environmentally friendly power product that meets higher emission requirements. The D series engines are popular, with more than 1,500,000 sets in circulation.

Fuel system | It utilizes a DENSO electronic control system with the injection pressure of 2,000bar. The 7-hole injection nozzles are ceramic coated.
